This class is turning out to be interesting, wish I could have known that 3 years ago.  Today, color can be trademarked if it has a secondary meaning but not if it has a function.  Example, pink fiberglass tells you that you can be sure of a big abestos settlement from Owens Corning but the pinkness itself doesn't cause you to breathe it. The entire interview dwelled on one line of my resume "McCain 2008."  The judge was a lifelong McCain and R opponent.  She was not mean or confrontational of course.

She said "We're going to decide today after we interview everyone."  There has been complete phone and email silence since then. 

After a hectic first week I have an externship [I pay to volunteer] interview in two hours at the Arizona Court of Appeals.  I am priviliged to have this opportunity that likely came about when their current extern got a better gig, as they sent out a "Vacancy, Apply Right Away Please" type email on Wednesday.

I took that final and then drank a ton of redbull for my Cult Law paper marathon on the brainwashing defense.   That is Patty Hearst's argument "Sorry but they brainwashed me and I am not culpable for the crimes I committed under their control."  This line of thinking has been universally rejected by judges and juries.
